Dr. Oladayo David Awoyale FHNR, MBBS, MPH, Epi-Fellow

Founder & Chief Executive Officer

Dr. Oladayo David Awoyale is a public health physician, field epidemiologist, researcher, and global health security specialist with expertise in disease surveillance, outbreak preparedness and response, immunisation, epidemiological research, modelling, and health systems strengthening.

He holds a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) and a Master of Public Health (MPH) in Epidemiology and Biostatistics, with specialised training in disease outbreak and epidemic response. He is an Epidemiology Fellow from the European and Developing Countries Clinical Trial Partnership and a graduate of the Nigeria Field Epidemiology and Laboratory Training Programme (NFELTP).

As Founder and CEO of Epiresearch - Global, Dr. Awoyale provides strategic and technical leadership to the organisation, driving its vision to generate high-quality evidence and innovative, data-driven solutions to complex health challenges globally.

Dr. Ayokunmi Sowade

Director of Programmes

Dr. Ayokunmi Sowade, Director of Programmes, oversees the design, implementation, and evaluation of client programmes to ensure they achieve their goals and deliver sustained impact.

Ayokunmi consults for the World Bank on health security programs in West and Central Africa. In earlier roles, she worked as a Senior Technical Advisor to the Director General on outbreak preparedness and response at the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control and Prevention, and served as a consultant Family Physician and head of the emergency department at a Federal medical centre.

Ayokunmi is a medical doctor, holds an MSc in Health Policy, Planning and Financing from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine and the London School of Economics, and is a fellow of the West African College of Physicians (Family Medicine).

Stephen Ohuneni B.Sc, M.Sc, MPH, NFELTP, SACEMA, PHII

Director of Operations

Stephen Ohuneni brings over 13 years of distinguished experience across public health, epidemiology, global health security, disease surveillance, public health informatics, disease modelling, and programme management.

His career has spanned global, national, subnational, and development partner environments, with notable tenures at the Solina Group, Sydani Group, Society for Family Health, AFENET, and the NCDC.

A SACEMA Policy Modelling Fellow, Public Health Informatics Fellow, and NFELTP graduate, Stephen is both an adept public health researcher and a seasoned field epidemiologist. He has played a pivotal role in strengthening national disease surveillance systems and advancing Nigeria's global health security architecture.

Results-driven and guided by a deep passion for growth and equity, he leverages this breadth of experience at EpiResearch Global to drive operational excellence and advance evidence-based public health solutions.
